AIR TRAFFIC CONTROLLER
We are happy to announce the award winning, indie-rock band, Air Traffic Controller will be headlining the 2017 First Chair Festival.
Boston natives, Air Traffic Controller have created a place all their own in the indie pop world.
Serving in the US Navy as an air traffic controller, singer/songwriter Dave Munro sent home demos written during deployment to his friends. Band-mate and singer/songwriter Casey Sullivan met Dave soon thereafter, and the two forged a collaborative bond that has become the vocal sound of ATC.
With an eclectic song catalog and category-defying organic/electronic sound, people are taking notice of ATC. They were 2015 Billboard Hot 100 Fest performers with The Weeknd and Justin Bieber, placed on the NPR Hot 100 List for SXSW, named Guardian UK Band of the Day, won Best Indie Alternative
The Moth and The Flame will be joining the 2017 First Chair Festival lineup.
Founded in the high desert of Provo, Utah but currently based in Los Angeles, The Moth & The Flame – singer/guitarist Brandon Robbins, keyboardist/vocalist Mark Garbett, and former Imagine Dragons drummer Andrew Tolman – arrived in 2011 and quickly earned devoted fans and critical acclaim for their brand of lush, atmospheric rock.
Intimately tucked between The Moth & The Flame’s trembling synthesizers and compellingly bravado vocals rests a component that syndicates the band’s evolution together at its core: steadiness. With precise details and intentional steps, The Moth & The Flame walks a line between mass appeal and artistic integrity. Their new album, Young & Unafraid, mingles the spontaneous and relaxed approach the band previously took when recording with a deliberate and gauged plan to cross new barriers.
This year's festival will feature critically acclaimed musical talent. More to come...
